Since I released Magpie, I've been recording snippets of music, some full songs, and some instrumentals. I posted a couple updates on Instagram and the response was positive. However, my schedule never allowed for me to finish the record I was planning, and I felt I was getting a little too reliant on my drawn-out process, and as a result I wasn't getting anywhere.

So, I took a step back, put that material on the back burner, and started from scratch. I had an album cover, an album name, and some leftover lyrics from my previous attempt. I had a little less than a month in the time between the end of college and the start of my full-time job. I think I made the best of that time.

Tell That Nervous Boy I Love Him is my 4th solo record, and it was written and recorded in about 2 weeks during a visit to my parents. I honestly just wanted to record an album that took inspiration from my favorite indie rock and post-punk records, and I had a lot of fun recording this one!

Some of these songs are about characters I've created, and some of them are inspired by my experiences.
